Hayat is free to start: no card, no payment page

You start using Hayat on the Starter plan without entering a card. How the free start opens, what is open, how moving to a paid plan works, and why your parent's emergency safety net never switches off.

Every family that signs up for Hayat starts free. No credit card, no payment page, and you do not even have to pick a plan: your account opens on the Starter plan and nothing starts charging on its own. This post explains how the free start opens, what is open and how moving to a paid plan works.

Why we do not ask for a card

It takes your parent weeks to get used to the morning "how are you today?" and to make tapping a button on the "have you taken it?" message at medication time part of the day. The trend line in the panel also needs a few weeks of answers before it says anything.

So we do not put the decision at the start: no card details, no payment that begins by itself. Moving to a paid plan is a separate decision you make with a real picture in front of you.

How the free start opens

  • You fill in the short form on the sign-up page; your name and email are enough. If you have an invite code, you add it there.
  • We review the request and open your account. A password-setup link arrives by email in your language; it is valid for 7 days and works once.
  • The Starter plan is open the moment your account is created. You see the end date of the free start on the plan card on your account page.
  • You add your parent. Hayat introduces itself to them on WhatsApp or Telegram and asks for their consent. Nothing is installed on their phone.

What is open on Starter

Every feature is included on every plan; the plans differ only in quantities: how often Hayat calls your parent, how many loved ones you follow, how many family members see the panel and how far back the history goes. On Starter, Hayat calls three times a week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday), you follow one loved one, one family member sees the panel and the panel history is 30 days. Nothing you use during the free start disappears when you start paying.

  • Unlimited chat on WhatsApp and Telegram.
  • The daily check-in question and the wellbeing trend in the panel.
  • Medication reminders with adherence tracking.
  • The entire emergency safety net: emergency detection, emergency-number guidance, instant family alerts.
  • Health interpretation, the PDF doctor report, lab result reading and the Memory Game.
  • With the optional Hayat app installed, Hayat calls your parent by voice three times a week.

If you need more

If you want more frequent calls you move to Daily; if you want two loved ones on one panel, to Family. The move happens from your account page with your explicit opt-in; there is no automatic charge. Prices are written under each card on the plans page — for later, when you choose.

What happens when the free start comes to an end

  • You are told one week and one day before the end.
  • You decide when to start paying. The "Pay now" button on the account page is open every day before the free start is over.
  • If you do not choose a plan, service continues for 7 more days with reminders, then pauses. The day it will stop is written, with the date, on your account card.
  • On the day service stops, your parent receives one message in their own language: that the service is paused, where the family can restart it, and that the emergency / "help" route stays open. Your parent never hears about prices or payments.

Because we do not take card details, the free start never turns into a paid subscription on its own. Starting to pay is a decision you make explicitly.

Why the emergency safety net never switches off

Even after the free start is over or while service is paused, when your parent writes "I fell" or "help", emergency-number guidance and a family alert still go out. We do not tie personal safety to a plan. Reminders and chat can stop; this route does not.

Hayat does not diagnose and does not replace a doctor or in-person care. It helps you follow your parent's day from far away and hear early when something changes.
